Update: Since creating this post I’ve created a master list of co-living spaces around the world.
Co-Living is a thing. It’s becoming a big thing. It’s pretty much like the 90’s all over again where people have come back to the realization that living with others can be fun and cheaper… well, actually no, for some reason co-living is crazy expensive. But here me out, it’s a pretty bad-ass thing for us remote workers, travel types, digital nomads, whatever you want to call yourself.
No matter where you look, more and more co-living spaces and/or remote retreats are popping up, everywhere!
The idea is you live with like-minded fellows and share a home together. This is somewhat targeted at the digital nomad community, those of us that work on our laptops from anywhere. But the concept can work for anyone.
Roam, Ubud, Bali
I’ve stayed in quite a few myself. For me, they are the best way to meet new, like-minded people while roaming around the world.
Here are my top three co-living spaces:
Roam has amazing locations, great onboarding process, weekly cleans, laundry and just about everything you need for a co-living space. Hands down my top pick.
You can even save yourself $100 with this handy link!
I love how Outsite is differentiating themselves by providing value with items like surfboards if at beach locations, or bikes to get around town. They also have some more interesting sites that are not the big cities, opting for areas like Santa Cruz over LA.
These guys provide everything you need and more. They even use smart home technology to make the space that little bit cooler and do focus on the co-working aspect which the others lack on.
So there you have it. My top three co-living spaces of 2017. Go check them out, they are worth experiencing
