Some of the worlds most excellent, and best bucket list experiences to make your 2019 a year of saying yes!
You’ve probably seen the photos on Instagram, Giraffes poking their heads into the manor house as you have your morning breakfast. This has to be one of the most unique and surreal experiences you can do in the lap of luxury. The manor house is located in the Kenyan wilderness and gives you the unique opportunity to wine and dine with the locals. Yes, we mean the animals!
Can you imagine seeing two million animals migrate? All the way from the Serengeti National Park to the Maasai Mara Reserve. It’s a
If you want to see the entirety of the Victoria Falls in a single day then a flight is probably your only option, it’s a pretty big sight to behold! You can either take a helicopter or micro-flight across the falls and snap yourself a picturesque postcard from the air. The so-called ‘flight of angels’ leave from Maramba Aerodrome in Livingstone, and you’ll be over the falls within a few minutes!
Cappadocia is the most popular location in the world to take a hot air balloon flight – which should give you some indication on how amazing this experience is. Hundreds of balloons floating across the horizon of Cappadocia’s unique and unforgettable landscape is a once in a lifetime experience you have to witness.
Quite possibly one of the worlds most popular Instagram Spots. You can barely go a few hours without seeing this wonder of the world in your Instagram feed. This Incan citadel set high in the Andes Mountains was built in the 15th century. If you’re lucky, you might even end your hike taking a selfie with a llama! Now that’s surreal!
Now, this is the only item on the list that is almost a duplicate. But that is what makes it so fantastic. This one of a kind Igloo village in the Finish forest makes the most of the location by offering guests glass roofs that allow them to witness the Nother Lights from the comfort of their own giant Igloo!
If you’re not into Finland, or perhaps staying in a giant glass Igloo, then another way to witness the Northern Lights while also blowing your mind with beautiful mountain ranges and fjords is seeing the lights from Nothern Norway. One of the most stunning and photogenic landscapes we’ve personally ever witnessed on our world travels.
If you’re like me, then you enjoy seeing a view while also plummeting to the ground after jumping out of a moving plane! It certainly gives you a one-of-a-kind perspective to see the beautiful city of Dubai before you hop into your 4X4 and explore the stunning deserts in a hot air balloon. Dubai also hosts one of the biggest international skydiving championships if you fancy joining!
Fancy sharing a swim with the largest mammals on the planet? Not only will this make you feel extremely small, but you’ll be able to make your friends jealous with some genuinely unique underwater shots of you and your new 140,000 kg best bud. In Mirissa, the best time to swim with whales is from November to April; in Trincomalee, May to September as the whales continue their migration.
Celebrated in Chiang Mai, Thailand, the Yi Peng Festival is a religious ceremony in which thousands of Thai people release candle-lit lanterns into the sky while making a wish. It’s pretty much the opposite of shooting stars as the festival celebrations look like your returning stars back into the atmosphere as each lantern sets off into the night. Tourists can join in with the festivities at a separate lantern release a week after the religious festival has taken place.
